Home Sweet Home

On this day, when We were supposed to be gallivanting around Jakarta and Bandung.

Of course We did not just sit around at home. Ate until I nearly burst, searched (and bought) some practical mini nursery items for Little Man, purchased an excellent Wodehouse book, watched the Malaysian Monsoon call a halt to the F1 race and best of all, proposed a slight alteration to Little Man's name.

From what Dear Feisal was able to glean (after sensing the akwardness in the name), it appears that now Little Man's name carry three wonderful meanings instead of just one previously. After much persuasion, Feisal concurred. And I smiled with glee, a befitting name indeed.

Checked!

After a dreary Friday, Feisal and I were prompted to clear our shopping list for the Little Man come weekend. Little did we know that shopping for baby's essentials and mom's too was easy. As long as you know perfectly what to buy and most importantly, sticking to its practicalities, you are good to shop. Alhamdulillah, after only three shopping trips, Little Man's checklist is cleared. And mine too :)

There is no need to share the pictures of every single essentials that we bought. Same predictable stuff I suppose. Last weekend and yesterday, I bought these for myself :

Left to right: More comfy pants and few more comfortable tops. Cotton pants and button-down tops for confinement. Check out the bunny pants! Only RM 17 at Subang Parade.

Last two weeks, the doctor informed me that the amount of my amniotic fluid was on the high. So she performed a routine MGTT (Glucose Tolerance Test) to confirm whether I have gestational diabetes. Ran a couple of blood tests and fortunately, I'm cleared of the suspicion. Raging hormones I suppose.

The thing was, I had to fast for half a day. Feisal and I felt bad for this Little Man, sure hungry and all. So, a short shopping trip interposed between the two hours blood test. (You have to draw blood, drink a very very sweet solution and wait for two hours for the blood to process the sugar, and draw blood again).

So, we bought him five rompers for "We feel bad for our hungry Boy". Basically, these three rompers will be worn by him upon his arrival, InsyaAllah. Funny cartoons befitting the ocassion,no? Monkeys, Alligators and Emergency Vehicles :)

Having experienced my students' disordeliness led me into buying these for our Little Man last Friday night. Poor him, had to endure hunger and restlessness as well. Mommy's sorry poor Boy.

Hopefully you will grow into a well-meaning and polite person just like Paddington Bear. And Paddington also loves to 'try so hard to get things right'.

And these are among the nine rompers given by my sister Dedek few months back, and also our Baby's first set of clothes.

And most importantly, after a short shopping spree with Dedek yesterday, we did not get my Boy anything. So I made a dash into Lovely Lace, which led me into buying this cute white box. That tall giraffe was a gift from his Ayah last weekend :) A good start for our own little project nursery.

There, a short story on some of our Little Man's things. Having bought and prepared everything does not necessarily precipitate labour, does it? Hopefully not!

Thursday, November 20

Should my blog be in the form of a physical journal, it would certainly be collecting dust by now. I reckon it has been permeated by the sound of rocketing crickets.

Not only have I no cogent reasons for such neglect, I am also literally home-bound. A stay at home wife, doing nothing replicating the same. ha ha.

Last weekend was fun. We filled ourselves with nonsensical gossips and jokes, replenishing our depleting in-need-of-laughter souls. See you girls in December.

And, I have found a new love. The name's Jaspal. Replete with colourful and up-to-mark tops. Bought myself a black top and Mira a gypsy-like green. Nice! And what's more, they are affordably reasonable.
Jaspal rocks!

Thursday, November 13

After a long hiatus on buying things, yesterday's shopping spree with my aunt-in-law and sis-in-law was liberating. Gosh have I forgotten how great the feeling is! Subang Parade is fun to be in. So much so, during lunch hour, sneaky Feisal sneaked into Subang Parade as well to get himself a new pair of boots for his football match tomorrow. Gila gung-ho. But no, we did not bump into him! hish.

My Best Friend's Wedding

Just look at her pretty face. Deserving every beautiful moment indeed.

Nah, no words could ever describe my feelings on those two eventful nights. Speechless.

A visit

Us with Dearest Farah Nini and pretty Amani

"How come you didn't call me Coach?" [Morrie]

This cute Morrie of my own insisted on Us calling her Kak Nini. It'll take a lot of guts out of me to do so. I'd rather stick with Madam. But we being your friends as you put it, that, I can take. We gave Baby Ahmad's cukur jambul a miss last month, so a chance to finally say hello to the adorably tiny baby was delightful. Whose sleeping pattern is oddly ruled by having commotion around him. Weird baby lah you!

Baby Ahmad sound asleep, that's her Baby.

This, is her other cute Baby. Moosh's the name, or something.

To my cute bunny, if it's any consolation, you are not alone :)

We hit the Curve after. Did a bit of shopping, just the necessaries. Right. Look who we bumped into! Dear Mar and her Maira. We did the obvious, exchanged pleasantries, then went on to buy her bolster and my Beloved's pillows at Harvey Norman's sale.

What a Saturday. Real fun. Tomorrow is no different I reckon. Beloved Feisal has designed a cool James Morrison t-shirt template last night for us to don to the latter's show next week, I hope. Notice, my entries have been about what I've been up to of late. That's very.. err.. bloggish. My brain's not getting any stimulation I suppose. degeneration. cuti lama dah ma. I'll put it to right soon ya. Have a lovely rest of the weekend children of the world.

Wednesday, November 21

Sepetang di Zoo Negara ;)

I just love talking to animals. I do that all the time.

Si Comel :) And to YOU i shall sing ;

"U're a falling star, U're the get away car.

U're the line in the sand when I go too far.

U're the swimming pool on an August day.

And U're the Perfect thing to say.

And U play it coy, but it's kinda cute.

When U smile at me U know exactly what U do.

Baby don't pretend, that U don't know it's true.

Cause U can see it when I look at U.

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times

It's U, it's U, U make me sing.

U're every line, U're every word, U're Everything.

U're a carousel, U're a wishing well,

And U light me up, when U ring my bell.

U're a mystery, U're from outer space,

U're every minute of my everyday.

And I can't believe, that I'm your girl,

And I get to kiss U baby just because I can.

Whatever comes Our way, We'll see it through,

And U know that's what Our LOVE can do!"

TIME OF MY LIFE

Come on and do it
Don't care how you look, it's just how you feel
Come on and do it
You gotta make it real
Come on and do it
It's time to free what's in your soul
You gotta get it right, this time
Come on freak out lose control

Who cares what they do
Because it's yours for the taking
So it's not for you anyway
Make your own rules to live by

Love this song :) Stumbled upon this picture Shue, it was a great night out. eating dinner with Mira and Muna, us playing make up till 4a.m.! Life's way fun back then. Cepat plan Singapore cepat!!

Tuesday, June 26

It was eventful indeed. How you've grown into a lovely woman Asni. Cheeks delightfully flushed as the topic marriage was discussed(which was most of the time that is). Thanks for a great day and no, i am not a stalker!!

"There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends."

Wednesday, June 20

Puan Aishah & Puan Meedah at Meedah's wedding. Selamat Pengantin Baru Meedah & Faizi. Wishing you guys all the best in life. It was a joyous ocassion having met the whole RDL bunch and UIA seniors.

Monday, April 16

I had not the chance to upload my own pictures of my call. I chanced upon my good friend and/or ex-colleague's blog and, to my astonishment, found some. Attuned to each other's systems, that's what i call a 'partner'.

with some of the chambees of RDL.

How sweet
of you Lydie Girl, of course, you are nowhere near. hah. Also, I had Shue's blog in friendster 'stalked'. Found a picture too.

with the charlie's angels, not.

It wasn't that out-of-the-window kind of bad for what I imagined was a dreary ocassion. Thank you all for coming all the way. And to the two midgets in the chatterbox who had me felt bad (well, a bit) for not informing them of my call, be not mad, you've missed nothing!

Will my outlook on the whole practising world take a turn for a radical change? Was supposed to attend a coaching session in IIU Matriculation this Thursday, to what I suppose is a session to coach tutors to be. I had to say no. Too little too late I thought. Kind of a sticky end, to mark my becoming a practitioner. That word, sounds pretty much lame to me. Shue, I agree with you babe :)

Wednesday, April 4

Gladdened!

After lunch, whilst Mira was busy trying on a sandal, an incredibly nice handbag caught my attention. It saw me loving it instantly, its design uncluttered and, very classy. and of course, I was on the verge of purchasing it when for some reason, Mira thought in the reverse (after agreeing with me 100% that the bag's a catch!)

Mira : takyah la beli, pikir dulu. balik rumah, tenang-tenang dulu. if nak, datang la balik.
Me: aiya, ni je i beli. pasni takde dah ak beli-beli. kumpul duit nak kawen dah.

Mira : simpan la duit tu, nak kawen. nanti je la beli.

All concerted effort to talk me out of buying it huh? Vainly, Mira succumbed to my incorruptibility. Reason being, she wanted to buy me that bag for my long call gift. how sweet! Well dear, for a seemingly hebat girl when it comes to splurging surprises on people, you did fairly bad. Your expression was a dead giveaway! :) Thank you for the lovely gift, though you insisted on holding on to the bag until my call day, too bad, I snatched it away from your car already! Dengan tak malunya.

Also, got a second Starbucks mug from my Beloved. More to come, still counting! Let's fill our kitchen counter with Starbucks mugs for deco :) Love Ya!

Saturday, March 24

I had a fantabulous nine months stint in RDL. To the chambees of my batch (feels so good saying that.haha) Thank you ever so much for all the love, naughtiness, joy, cheekiness and fun that we have come to share. Dinner at Souled Out and drinks at Starbucks after was a lovely end to top it all off. will miss RdL dearly, especially you Lydia!
